Ezekiel 37:1-10

The Valley of Dry Bones

The hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, "Son of man, can these bones live?"
I said, "O Sovereign LORD, you alone know."

Then he said to me, "Prophesy to these bones and say to them, 'Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.' "

So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.

Then he said to me, "Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe into these slain, that they may live.' " So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.

While i was up late last night doing a paper, i heard Michael Smith, the lead vocalist of Delirious? deliver this prophesy to the people in the united Kingdom. The message was strong then, that God wants this revival to happen.

For some of us, this message might be targeted to your own heart. You face dryness, you don't know what to do, you are slipping away from God subtlely or otherwise and you are lost. But take comfort, for it says "I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life." God will raise you from the dead. He will give you breath that belongs to Him and him alone. Trust in Him and seek His word, God wants to speak to you and is smiling over you all the time. Seek this revival.

For some of us, it might be mediocrity. We just live everyday, growing bit by bit or not growing at all. Maybe sometimes we just live life as it is, normal and boring. Maybe everyday may seem sian to you. But in this passage Ezekiel prophesies, "So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.", a pile of bones uncovered by flesh was not only restored to life but restored to become an army, an army of God. Maybe today we can once again have a revival in our spiritual lives, decide to overcome odds to shine God's light. It may be difficult but in all things God works for the good of those who love Him. Believe in Him and ask Him! For "God alone knows".

For us as a group, let us work to live out and to create a revival in HC! J2s it's the last stretch, although we're as busy as nuts but let's do our part, any part we can, it doesn't matter because God sees every effort, every piece of work that you do in His name. He will honour it. J1s, jiayou coz you will be able to continue this revival in the school!
