Hey guys (and girls)!

Just got home from CG and i wanted to share with you guys (and girls) an excerpt from my journal entry last week.

<> 'Prayer meet was so refreshing! After these few months of walking with God, it's still amazing what prayer can do, tangible or not. It always makes me feel as though God has everything under control, and that He will never let me slip from the palm of His hand.

Perhaps an atheist would say that prayer is for the weak, and that one only need rely on his own power to run his life (I should know, I was one). But now I can firmly proclaim that such thinking breeds but defeat. Sure, people will stand with you at your most triumphant, but who will carry you at your weakest, if not God?

I am so glad, that I took this leap of faith to accept Christ as my Lord and Savior. Before this (my conversion), I was so skeptical of religion as a whole, but now I can't even imagine my life without God, without this care group, without their support in my life. I don't even come close to deserving God's grace in my life. But the fact of the matter is : Jesus died for us on the cross so that we could live. And the least we could do is live it well. Read once that one cannot be any more saved than on the day he accepts Christ, but it is even more true, to me, that one can grow in salvation, perhaps so much more than the first time he says the sinners' prayer. ' <>

So lets all strive hard and grow in the spirit, so that we can be testaments to His name! =)
